On the search engine's Overview page, scroll down to Search features. In the Region section, select your desired country or region from the drop down list. (Optional) If you want to restrict search results exclusively to the selected region, toggle On or Off to enable or disable Region-restricted results.

Google may use or save location information to provide people with useful services when they interact with Google products, such as providing locally relevant and faster search results, traffic predictions for people's daily commutes, and suggestions that take into account a person's context.

Open Settings > Search settings. Under Region Settings at the bottom of the page, select the region corresponding to the Google domain you're using. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

To do this, add “&near=cityname” to the end of the search URL. For instance, let's say you're in Kansas City and want to see how a coffee shop chain called “Jitters” compares to its competitors in Seattle. You can start by searching for “coffee shops near me” on Google.
