A Google-wide username and password that can be used to access various products, including Google Ads. Your Google Account also contains information that applies across products, such as your preferred language and some privacy settings.

A Google ID is simply an email address. This email address must be either: a non Google email address that you have associated with a Google Account or a Gmail, Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), or Google Identity email address.

To sign in to YouTube, you'll need to create a Google Account. A Google Account lets you use many YouTube features including Like, Subscribe, Watch Later, and Watch History.

If you don't know what your Google Account name is, simply sign in to your primary Gmail account. And hover your mouse over your profile picture. In this example, you can see that my Google Account name is John Mailmeteor. And my username is john.mailmeteor@gmail.com.
