This is a combination of numbers and letters located at the bottom of the shoe label. According to Adidas regulations, each pair of shoes will have a different component code. Moreover, if they are genuine shoes, the component code on the left shoe and the right shoe will be different.

Like their rivals Nike, adidas do a good job of providing an easily accessible code across all their shirts. The code (also known as an International Article Number), found on a small tag usually on the inside of the collar, is 6 digits long consisting of 2 letters and 4 numbers.

The tags have the size and product information on the inside of the shoe (behind the tongue). Real Adidas shoes will have tags with different serial numbers for the left and right shoe, but a fake product will have the same serial number.
