Huaraches are a tight fit because of the strap at the back, more so than the length of the shoe. If you measured the length it would probably be the right size it says, but the plastic strap at the back doesn't really stretch that much and that's why they run smaller.

The Nike Air Huarache debuted in 1991 with a minimal yet polarizing design. Its comfort was undeniable, thanks to a sock-like, neoprene upper that “hugged” the foot. Memorable ads for it read, “Have you hugged your foot today?” The “hug” approach came from a water skiing trip taken by Tinker Hatfield.

Nike Huaraches aren't specifically meant to be a running shoe. However, they provide the support and fit that runners need to maintain proper alignment during high-impact exercise.

From high-heat collaborations from the likes of Stussy right through to retro releases of classic colourways, the model continues to impress sneakerheads across the globe all these years later.
