The Free series consists of only two models, the RN 5.0 and RN Flyknit 3.0. In 2021, around 10 years after the first release in 2011, the Free Run 2 was available again.

The Nike Free Run is a lightweight minimalist shoe that performs well on runs of short distances (sprints to 10k's). The shoe wrap allows the shoe to create a feeling of sereneness around the foot which in turn creates a great fit which results in a comfortable run. 7.80 oz. (221 gr.)

It's generally accepted that the standard lifespan of road running shoes is somewhere between 300 - 500 miles, or around 500 - 800km, with lightweight shoes somewhere between 250 - 300 miles. So if you're running 20 miles per week, you'll probably need to replace your running shoes after around 4 - 6 months of wear.
