Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your site's presence in Google Search results. You don't have to sign up for Search Console to be included in Google Search results, but Search Console helps you understand and improve how Google sees your site.

You don't need to have a Gmail account in order to do it. You may open it using your own email address. Once you're done with creating an account, you can log in and access Webmaster Tools http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/.

So, to make sure that our product includes everyone who cares about Search, we've decided to rebrand Google Webmaster Tools as Google Search Console.
