The manual way: If you don't see the prompt, you can add the shortcut manually by following these steps:
- Open the Google app.
- Search for the term you want to add to your home screen.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the search results page.
- Tap Add to home screen.
- Enter a name for the shortcut and tap Add.
