On 17 July 2007, Electronic Arts announced that Peter Moore would be leaving Microsoft to head the sports division at Electronic Arts. Moore reportedly wanted to move back to the San Francisco Bay area to live with his family, which was possible with EA.

In 1998, Moore left Adidas to focus on printmaking only to return again as a brand consultant for Adidas in 2013. He died on April 29, 2022 in Portland, Oregon; he was 78.

Moore played a total of 249 matches and was unlucky not to play in a premiership side considering he played in the Magpies' losing Grand Final teams of 1977, 1979, 1980 and 1981. At the 1979 Perth State of Origin Carnival he was named in the All-Australian team.

He is most well-known for his work with Nike, Air Jordan, and Adidas. Peter picked up Nike as a client of his design agency in 1977. He formally joined Nike as their first brand Creative Director in 1983. He and his business partner Rob Strasser, launched the Air Jordan brand.
