Crawling: Google downloads text, images, and videos from pages it found on the internet with automated programs called crawlers. Indexing: Google analyzes the text, images, and video files on the page, and stores the information in the Google index, which is a large database.

The best way to check if a page is crawlable is to use the "URL Inspection" tool in Google Search Console. Simply enter the URL you want to check and read the report. If your page has already been crawled and indexed, you will see a green tick. If your page has crawling and indexing issues, you will see grey instead.

Crawling is a ranking factor. Improving your crawl rate will not necessarily lead to better positions in search results. Google uses many signals to rank the results, and while crawling is necessary for a page to be in search results, it's not a ranking signal.
