Using Maps URLs, you can build a universal, cross-platform URL to launch Google Maps and perform searches, get directions and navigation, and display map views and panoramic images. The URL syntax is the same regardless of the platform in use. You don't need a Google API key to use Maps URLs.

Use Maps in Chrome Find a place or location in Chrome, without the use of a navigation app. On a web page, touch and hold the address you want to check. Tap View with Google Maps on Chrome. To view route options, tap Get Directions.

On your computer, open Google Maps. Type an address or name of a place. To filter your search results, use the drop-down menus below the search box.

Step 1: Open the Google Maps app on your iPhone or Android phone. Step 2: Search for an address using the search bar at the top of the screen or scroll around the map until you find the location where you want to drop a pin. Step 3: Press and hold the screen to drop a pin. A light touch is all that's needed.
