When adidas introduced the Gazelle shoe back in 1966, it dominated indoor soccer gyms and handball courts. The Gazelle was built for swift moves and sure-footed grip for athletes, but its casual style and minimalist 3-Stripes look brought it onto the campus into mass popularity.

This is the long and short of the Adidas Original Gazelle: They run exactly one full size larger than your normal shoe size (so go down one full size from your normal shoe size).

While the materials are pretty similar, the Samba is going to have more natural fibers like suede, leather and textile lining. The Gazelles has a synthetic tongue which can feel a bit different on the foot.
