The black tag is the real Nike woven label. Inside the shoe, you will see the size label with the Jordan Jumpman logo (above). The fake shoe has the tag welded to the back of the tongue. On the real Jordan 1, the tag is sewn down on the inside.

Check the 9-digit style number and UPC code on the box to see if it matches the one printed on the shoe's label to tell if your shoes are authentic. Look for bright, vibrant colors and high-quality leather and suede on legit Nikes. See if there is neat, even stitching around the soles and mesh panels.

Locate the tag inside your shoe. All authentic Nike shoes have a tag sewn into them with their size, barcode and model number on it. You will recognize it most easily by the barcode.
