In 1997, Michael Jordan rocked the Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game.” However, it gained even more fame when Jake Shuttlesworth (Denzel Washington), father of the top-ranked basketball prospect in the country, Jesus Shuttlesworth (Ray Allen), laced them up in Spike Lee's 1998 film of the same name.

Released on Nov. 1, 1997, the Air Jordan XIII was loaded with both performance and design elements. Perhaps the most prominent feature was a hologram on the upper that resembled the eye of a panther, while the outsole featured a paw-like design.

Take a good look at the woven label attached to the top of the tongue. Counterfeit Jordans may not have a circle with the registered “R” trademark, while Nike's original shoes use a doubled “R” on that tag. Embroidery should not be too thick or too thin. There should be no bulging or protruding threads or “bald” spots.
