The tags have the size and product information on the inside of the shoe (behind the tongue). Real Adidas shoes will have tags with different serial numbers for the left and right shoe, but a fake product will have the same serial number.

The name adidas came from the founder, Adolf “Adi” Dassler's name. He used his nickname, Adi, and the first three letters of his last name, Das, to create adidas.

The real adidas Originals have different serial numbers on the left and right basket, unlike the fake ones. The serial number on the underside of the tab must match the serial number on the box. The brand uses its cloverleaf logo in a print on the tongue and not a sticker like the counterfeits.

Since Horst Dassler, the son of Adolf Dassler, passed away in 1987, adidas was sold and is no longer family-owned. Instead, Adidas is now owned by Adidas AG, a multinational corporate group owned by several shareholders.
