The fabric. The main point of difference between the Gazelle's and any other gym trainer is the fabric. The suede exterior keeps these trainers resolutely fashion-facing, and the large variety of colours, from understated monochromes to fun bright colour-clash options, keeps the Gazelle feeling fresh and modern.

Sizing on these shoes runs a full size bigger; you will likely need to order one size down than your normal size. I typically wear a women's size 8 but with this shoe/style, it was a size 7 that fit right. I read in a few reviews to try sizing down a full size but I was skeptical.

While the materials are pretty similar, the Samba is going to have more natural fibers like suede, leather and textile lining. The Gazelles has a synthetic tongue which can feel a bit different on the foot.

And while I was already a fan of my Adidas Gazelles, I'm officially convinced they're the most comfortable shoe in my closet. I walked for miles through the City of Light, recording over 15,000 steps in my Gazelles, and didn't have even one blister to show for it.
