Real Adidas items are uniformly and neatly stitched. Fake ones will have shoddy and loose stitch work. Uneven stitching often makes it easy to spot a fake Adidas product.

I wear these strictly for casual wear and occasional walks - I have another favorite running shoe brand- but if you did want to walk or run into them you would want to go up half a size to save your toenails. They are really nice! I bought them to work out in but they were small and are sock-like fitting.
